Anyone else TDY, Deployed, away from their home for an extended period of time?

I am currently in Afghanistan doing a year long deployment. I am not military anymore but have deployed as a civilian. All I know is as time gets closer for my little R&R break coming up in a few weeks that I keep looking at more stuff to buy for my Envoy. Not sure how many out there are actually military but I am itching pretty bad to get home so I can get to working on my voy. Parts started showing up at my house yesterday (Markmc's lift, thanks Mark) and a ton more should be getting there in the coming days. All I can do is look at all the snow we have around here and wish I could be out having fun cruising my own ride. Anyway enough of my yappin.

This is after a couple inches of snow, there is probably about 4" compacted that I am standing on too.

Hey, I love this country and enjoy being out here serving regardless of if I am in uniform or not. Plus the monetary benefits are nice too
