Well after over 1/4 million km's we said goodbye today to our TB. It's been a good run and she's been a hardworker but unfortunately it's time. Since her mission has changed from primary vehicle / trailer hauler / workhorse to grocery getting mom taxi, the TB was no longer optimum. We don't really need 2 big trucks in the family and it would be good to reduce the monthly gas bill. And at over 260,000 km she has some known issues and who know's what lurking and as of yet unknown.
We were thinking about making a move in the spring so went in to the dealer to kick some tires and narrow down the choices somewhat. My wife ended up finding a smoking deal that was too good to turn down on a leftover 2012 Equinox. It's still an AWD SUV and has heated seats and remote start (my wife's 3 conditions) and will be better sized for running around the city.
I pulled my Prodigy brake controller and Neucleus iPod adaptor and will be posting in the classifieds as soon as I can grab some pictures (a requirement of the forum).
I'll still check in from time-to-time (we still have a GMT900 in the family) but I'll also be looking for a good forum to cover the Theta platform. Although with the extended warranty I shouldn't need any repair resources for some time.
Thanks to all for the comraderie and help over the years at this site and its predecessor. Special shout out to the roadie who has helped me and countless others sort out our vehicle problems.
