Any problem going back to Synthetic Blend oil after full Synthetic?

I ran 5/30 Valvoline Synthetic Blend in the Envoy for many years. Oil change intervals around 4000 miles. Never used more than 1/2 qt between oil changes

I swapped to 5/30 Mobil one full Synthetic on last oil change and it is using more oil.

Im thinking of of going back to the Valvoline. Any problems with switching back?

Dont have a specific answer for you, but I do have a question..

Is your Voy a 4.2 or 5.3?

If I am remembering correctly, you have the 4.2?

After the Berryman soak, I would wonder if some debris got dislodged in the PCV system. Increased oil usage has to go somewhere, its a matter of finding where its going...

It's the 4.2... Mobil One 5/30 and it's burned almost a quart in 3000 miles. It was about half of that with the Valvoline Syn Blend 5/30.
I'm going to perform a top end soak with the A.C. Delco T.E.C. and then a fresh oil change and filter. Hopefully it will improve the oil consumption.
