Anti Seize Grease on fan clutch hub/nut?

The nut from the fan clutch that bolts onto the water pump hub was tough to remove.

While there was no corrosion on it, I'm wondering if it would be a good idea to put some anti Seize Grease on it?

I plan on keeping my Envoy for many more years . If I ever need to replace another water pump, I'm thinking it might make things easier.

Thanks for any input.

A very small dab at the start of the threads and will spread as you thread on. May want to just replace it while you have the fan clutch off, since you plan to keep it.

And, you don't need to torque it down. The rotation direction will keep it in place and torque it down a little. Along with a little anti-seize, next time won't be as difficult.

Why do these two water pump bolts have rtv type of sealant on them? The other 3 did not? Do they penetrate into an oil or coolant passage?

Do they need to be resealed? If so what do I use for the sealant?

They are in coolant passages. Hell, you can do all of them if you want.

You can use an equivalent as well.
