can I really have 4 bad actuators at the same time? The only one that works is the recirc. I have tried a different hvac controller and they all still do the same thing.

Those 4 all for the same position, or different ones (driver side blend, passenger blend, defrost, etc)?

Did everything just die all the same time on you suddenly?

Not sure if they share a common connection point (like power and/or ground) but I'd check for that.

I'd replace one of the bad ones first that's easiest to get to, and see if that starts working. If it does, then replace the rest.

I'm not sure of the status of when they died. I just got the tb running after a engine swap. trying to get the "small" things fixed now. they are from drivers and pass heat cold doors and defrost and vent floor.

I'd replace one first, and see if that fixes that one. If so, then replace the rest.

You've ruled out the control unit. Could be a power and/or ground, so wouldn't hurt to check that first before replacing things.

I've had one die twice but in between had another one go, then the last one on the drivers side. So, I've replaced all three on the drivers side within a 3 month period.

Are they cheaper than OEM/ACDelco?

Who knew I could use big truck parts for my Trailblazer. :celebrate::celebrate::celebrate::celebrate:

I know the two types of actuators are the S and R used in the TB. I didn't know a YC could substitute for the S actuator. Good to know......
And it is possible to have several bad actuators at once - the originals are poorly designed. Hopefully the new ones are better

I was looking thru the shelves at work Friday and I found another actuator that looks right but it only has 4 pins all on the left side of the connector. All of mine that I pulled out were 5 pin, 3 on right 2 on left.

It's wrong then. Check it through the part numbers.

Just checking to see if these actuators are working well. Need to get some for my son's Silverado.

Excellent because they seem to be way cheaper than anything else. I'll see if I can get them from a truck parts supply shop. I'll probably buy a spare for the eventual failure in mine.

Also added this thread to the FAQ.

Oh, crap... I have an add-in that fixes the Photobucket issue (I use Chrome). Didn't realize it wouldn't show up for others.

Here's a copy / paste of the image:

Has anyone tried to use the Passenger Side Actuator on the Drivers side? They look identical and was just wondering if they are interchanable and if anyone has tried. There are 5 of them. The only one with 3 pins is the Recirculation one. All the rest have different part numbers but internally look the exact same. Just wondering if anyone has tried to interchange them and to what success or failure they encountered.

Removed from FAQ as the pictures with the International part numbers are gone.
