Is there a way to easily tell if my 'lade is supposed to have the PK3 system, and is either bypassed, or chip taped to the steering column module, without taking apart the steering column?

I also noticed my trucks key in the ignition dinger isnt working, which is why I asked the question.

I have PIDS that work for both my 2005 Yukon and my 2002 TrailBlazer which might shed some light on the PK3 vs Passlock question. If interested I can post the details...

Top 3 in this pic...

The Tech 2 will be your best friend. There should be a place somewhere that will show the data about the key in switch. It's probably somewhere under the BCM data display.

Maybe we should end this thread since you're now going into technical stuff. Maybe a build thread for ongoing stuff or a thread for each issue.
