I was pretty well decided on the 4600 Bilstein's for the rear shocks on my Envoy. I have heard they can be somewhat harsh/stiff. On occasion, I tow a small 14 ft travel trailer that weighs 2000-2600 lbs, with a tongue weight around 400 lbs. I will be using air bags inside the stock springs. I'm also still deciding if I need a weight distribution hitch after all. I've got the weight distribution hitch already set up but it adds alot of weight by itself.

So, I'm thinking of just going with new rear shocks, air bags inside the springs, and a regular hitch.

I like the ride of the stock shocks but still want something that will handle the added weight while towing. So are the 4600's still the best option? Are there alternatives that might be better suited and maybe less money? Thanks for any suggestions.
