So I finally splurged and bought the amerihood for the trailblazer, it was on sale for 521.00 and free shipping, came in a large box reasonably packed. I'm very pleased with the fit and quality, very well made for the price, has functional heat extractors on either side of the cowl and the cowl is also plumbed over to the air box if you want to use it in conjunction with an after market air intake although I'm just going to modify the factory airbox to work with it. I'll post pics thruout the process if anybodys interested.Screenshot_20190911-174405.png

We always love pics! So please post them as you go along.

That looks very similar to the Suncoast hood, that went out of production years ago. Only difference is the heat extractors are designed a little bit differently.

Yes, I really loved the Suncoast hood, wish I could've gotten one

I like that one. Would love to see it painted up to match.

I'm going to try my hand at painting it, I've had some experience doing some painting but I'm watching a lot of you tube videos and reading up on it so that I can get a good match. I'm just afraid it will look to good then all have to repaint the whole truck ,🤣😅

I painted mine with spray bomb automotive and it came out pretty good actually, but white is not so hard compared to dark colors

So did a test fit today and I'm really impressed with the fit and finish, lines up better than my original hood, here's some pics, now to tuck it safely away untill I get the paint.

Any chance you could provide a link to where you got yours, in case future members would like to follow in your tire tracks?

Home and as clean as it will be before the rains in Oregon start and probably wont end until next summer, pretty happy with fit and finish, there was no body work or bondo needed on the hood, and i really like the look, next up is some sort of solution for fender flares and modifying the airbox to work with the air ram hood.IMG_20231006_094856857_HDR.jpg

That looks awesome! That's what the SS should have looked like.
