EDIT:
On November 11th, 2019, :I created a TOC (Table of Contents) of the Video Files shown consecutively in the following Threads that should help to speed the identification of Specific On Topic Videos vs. having to Read and Watch each one in sequence to locate what the Viewers need.

The PDF is called TOCOFADDTIONALRESOURCES.pdf and I'll update this Document on a regular basis over time. Please advise on any Errors of problems with the information contained therein.

A Very Important Thread UPDATE on Wednesday, July 10th, 2019:

The Very FIRST thing to do when Reading This Thread... is to:

Visit Post #15 where @GENMOTMAN has added in the TECH2 Paths.pdf

THIS DOCUMENT SHOULD BECOME YOUR TECH 2 DIAGNOSTIC BIBLE...

So Download it... Email it to yourself. Keep several Copies of this Incredibly Necessary Diagnostic "FLOW CHART" and maintain it on a Thumb Drive within your "GYMKO" Tech 2 Kit. You will NOT Regret it!

What makes this information so very valuable is that it covers a myriad number of Required Step-By-Steps necessary to Follow when using your "GYMKO" Tech 2 Hand Held Scanner and Diagnosing a Broad Range of Problem Categories encountered with most GM Motor Vehicles and Trucks.

If you have obtained a New “GYMKO” Tech2 Clone Scanner and want to get your feet wet with its various functions... or even for Experienced Users… Here are some Additional TIS2000 “How-Tos” and Instructional Videos that will assist with cutting to the chase scenes when using either your OEM or “GYMKO” Tech2 Scanners or in combination with the Laptop Computers for Specific Tasks:

Caution-> This is the Latest 2017 PCMCIA Tech2Win FREE Software Download<- Caution:

READ EVERYTHING HERE… BEFORE DOING ANYTHING… This software described at the very top section of this Link is UNTESTED and requires following the other links and Instructions to avoid encountering any Security Issues. I would suggest that you obtain an Extra PCMCIA Inexpensive Card available from aliexpress.com Vendors that is pre-programmed with the 33.004 Version of the Software ...and overwrite IT using your TIS2000 Laptop and GM Tech2 Clone with this New Software Version for Testing Purposes ...rather than risk your existing Original PCMCIA Card with the overwrite.

It might prove very useful for many New (and Experienced) “GYMKO” Tech 2 Owners and Operators to have a Ready Source of Tech2 Instructional Videos on how to actually perform certain functions with this Hardware and TIS2000 Laptop Software. And so, I’ll try to populate this Thread with Simple Titles and links to the YouTube Videos that cover these subjects in detail.

I am suggesting that these Videos make more sense if Downloaded and Saved to your Tech2 Multi-Media Folder so that later on… you can safely practice with your New Tech2 and learn and study at your own pace to improve your confidence with the “GYMKO” Tech 2 before you get into any serious PCM Updating and/or New Module Installations. Remember to use the LATEST TIS2000 GM PCMCIA CARD Ver. 33.004 whenever performing any SPS Service Updates:

Note... (With the approval from the Admins and Mods...) Please Do Not Post Any Comments or Anecdotal Responses after viewing the Videos in this Thread. Any Contributions of similar Instructional Videos should be Posted only if they are as Complete and as Accurate as possible with their presentation of Unique Instructions, as many people will be relying upon the Accuracy and Reliability of the Multi-Media Information Posted herein:

This is a Very Interesting Find concerning the GM OEM Tech 2 Information updated in 2019 that describes the entire Layout and Performance Parameters of the Original GM Tech 2 Handheld Scanners. The data is reduce-able to a Linked PDF...but I was unable to figure out how to Download the Damned Thing. The importance here of course, is being able to see first hand what the OEM Units were designed to do ...and as such, it offers us a Mode of Comparison between the OEM GM Tech 2s...and the "GYMKO" Clone flavors of this Device.

There is also some information nested in the Documentation that covers the Licensing of the GM Software and the fact that when the System Software becomes out-dated...that the Tech 2s will still continue to function... (wouldn't THAT be a Kick in the Teeth if the Tech 2 Clones just stopped working one day because they hit a programmed Time String that triggered a System Failure to occur?) Anyway... FWIW...this data is ordinarily meant strictly for the Original Market for the GM Tech 2s and will make for an interesting Read:

.... Which translates to mean that my latest Thread on having a Strictly Multi-Media has turned out to be a Bad Idea...

The reason I created the OTHER Thread was to Aggregate the Multi-Media portion of the Tech-2 Training Videos for the ease of people who prefer strictly Visual ...rather than Text Learning. This seemed to make perfect sense to me... but apparent that is not the case. So... @Mooseman ... if you deem it necessary to combine these all under the same Thread... I have no problem with that:

This is a VERY Unusual application of using the "GYMKO" Tech 2 Clone on a 2005 Work-Horse Chassis RV sporting the GM Vortec 8.1L Engine and fitted with the Allison Transmission... when other Scanners would NOT show Hidden Trouble Codes or read information on the Transmission. The VOP (Video Original Poster) sounds like he could NOT be any Happier ...if he was TWINS!:

2005WORKHORSE.jpg

In these two Videos... The VOP (Video Original Poster) covers HVAC Testing of his 2005 Cadillac Escalade. Note that the value here is in being able to observe more 'Hands-On' usage that will assist New Tech 2 Owners by watching how this tool gets used under real diagnostic events:

This is DrShock performing an Automated ABS Brake Pressure Bleed using an After-Market Pneumatic Brake Fluid Hand Pump connected to a Master Cylinder Reservoir Cap along with his "GYMKO" Tech 2 Scanner to Activate the ABS Motor Gear and "Exercise" the ABS System to purge any Air Bubbles out of the System:

A Basic Un-Boxing Over-View of a “GYMKO” Tech 2 with Boot Up and Loop Back Test:

...and from the same VOP (Video Original Poster) ...How to Perform the "GYMKO" Tech 2 CANdi Self-Test:

This one shows what happens when the VCI Loop Back Test that FAILS:

THIS Video is Very Interesting as a User maneuvers through solving Serial Communications between the Tech 2 and his Laptop TIS2000 interactions:

This Video comes from the same VOP above and is a perfect example of why "The Squeaky Wheel ... Gets the Grease...". In it, he complains about God-Damned nearly EVERYTHING about this Inexpensive Clone. But.. he also provides some other good insights about what may need to be taken apart and "tidied up".

He also makes mention of the problem @Mooseman has addressed many times about the Tech2 losing power and shutting down under certain conditions. In any case... its value lies in getting yet another opportunity to "look over the shoulder of a Tech 2 User" and add his experiences to your own:

For anyone struggling with running TIS2000 Legacy Software or TIS2WEB on Computers that Do NOT have Native Nine Pin Serial Ports and also being troubled with problematic USB to Serial Port Adapters... This video and the Comments and Links provided by the VOP on his Youtube Channel could be the solution:

For anyone driving the Saab 9-5 and suffering from single wire-resistor based Horn/Steering Wheel/Airbag/Clock Spring Replacement and Repair issues, this intrepid Scandinavian Youtuber, - Trionic Seven - Uses a Tech 2 to work things out over this close to one half hour long Video:

Spending only 5 Minutes in direct conversation with this “Whiner” would make you want to go Hang Yourself in the Garage… as he describes his Tech 2 Clone Purchase while lacing the dialogue with endless complaints about EVERYTHING… and yet, almost within the same breath… he adds in praises for most of the aspects of his Chinese Clone Purchase. In the end he basically says, "My POS Tech 2.... is REALLY NOT a POS...":

Here is a Saab Owner visiting a Friend who owns a Tech 2 to try it out on his vehicle and then explaining all the Hardware and its utility:

Here is a fraction this this Guy's Classroom Tech 2 Study of the Saab Security Issues using a Virtual Windows-GlobalTIS Application. This one may be a bit complimentary to @southsidesmoka ‘s “How to Set up Windows 7,8,8.1,10 Versions with TIS2000” Thread:

In answering a freshly related Tech2 Question covering "How to Use the Tech2 to Diagnose 4WD Trouble Codes"... This Video was available and the VOP (Video Original Poster) provides EXCELLENT Video of the Tech 2 Scanner Screen as he presses the appropriate Function Buttons to navigate over to TCCM and other Transfer Case Encoder CXXX Trouble Codes. So... if you have your own Tech2 and want to poke around and sort out these GM Truck 4WD Issues... THIS is the Video for YOU!

(NO SOUND) Re-Flashing the PCM of a Chevrolet Silverado… observing SPS Laptop PASSTHRU using a "GYMKO" Tech 2 Scanner to OBD2 Port:

This next Video might interest @littleblazer as it covers a problem with a GMC Duramax 6.6L Diesel going into "Limp Mode" and how the VOP uses his Bosch Vetronix Tech 2 following some complex and seldom seen Test Procedures during these Diagnostics:

...that leads over to a Better Hands On Repair repair of this problem, courtesy Eric "Oh" over at South Main Auto. He investigates another related and similar Duramax Problem and manages to give us a closer at the repair while using a different High End Scanner to Perform the Job. Again... this is just one more set of Videos that can Edify Tech 2 Users about some of the other uncommonly accessed features:

...and WOW! Look at what GM Sent to Eric AFTER watching his Last Video... apparently... they DO Pay attention to what the World Thinks about the problems with some of their Vehicles after watching his South Main Auto Channel and responding to his dilemma... This is Interesting as HELL!

How to Use the GM "GYMKO" Tech 2 Scanner to Disable DRL (Daytime Running Lights)

This Linked procedure (with Excellent Tech 2 "Step By Step" Screen Print Imagery is quite straightforward... However, as with all cases of using your Tech 2 Scanner... Certain critical precautions should be followed to Prevent "Bricking" the PCM or other Modules in the process:

(1) This particular activity ACCESSES AND ALTERS THE BCM MODULE FEATURES... so it is very important to ensure that your SUV-TRUCK Battery is Fully Charged.

(2) The 12 VDC POWER SOURCE MUST come from plugging in the Power Connector into the DLC-to-OBD2 Adapter on the Tech 2 DLC System Cable and NOT into the Base of the Tech 2 Scanner.

(3) Have a Completely Decoded and Accurate RPO Listing for your particular Vehicle Printed Out and Handy for when the BCM Access Screen shows the RPO Options that can either be turned On and Off. Select ONLY the one that either Disables or Enables the DRL Feature.

(4) Follow each Step and Do NOT Turn Off The Ignition Key or Power Down the Tech 2 until ALL procedures and steps have been completed.

How to Use the TECH 2 to Re-Program an Updated Transfer Case Motor Module

DTC C0327 TRANSFER CASE ISSUE

From around 9:55 into this Excellent “How R&R & Update via the TSB the TCCM Transfer Case Module Internal Component” Repair Video from RealFixesRealFast, Duane employs a Mobile Re-Flash Service Technician who came to his Auto Repair Shop and used his Tech 2 and Laptop with SPS Programming via the PASS-THRU Communications to re-program the Repaired Transfer Case Updated Module. Just follow along with his explanation and procedures.

I note that @Mooseman could become "The Man In Canada" for such Tech 2 Go To Repairs if he was looking for the chance to travel and still keep his hand in 'The Game' after his Retirement... :>)

The VOP (Video Original Poster) directly refers to the General Motors Systems Programming Service Guide (...which I was UNABLE to locate ...a Link form Dr. Shock would have been helpful here) during his explanation of the relationships this important identifying information has to the use of the “GYMKO” Tech 2 Scan Tool:

Of ALL The Training Videos covered on this Thread… THIS 30 Minute Diagnostic Session on "How to Run Down Problems with the Class 2 Single Wire Network" is probably one of THE Most Important Instructional Displays for anyone using the “GYMKO” Tech 2 or Autel Scanner… Noting that the Ordinary BLUE Tooth Scanner was unable to perform initial accessibility with a DOWN and very problematic Class 2 Network:

Please... For Any and ALL Members still harboring an interest in getting their OWN "GYMKO" Tech 2 Kit...or the LATEST PASS-THRU Devices... Keep Checking on AliExpress.com for the BEST Price and Availability and S&H ...so you can finally OWN one of these indispensable tools.

If you have not as yet been Downloading and Saving these Tech 2 Training Videos into your "Mechanic's Video Library"... THIS one is a Great Place to START!

I would like to CAUTION anyone contemplating getting a Tech 2 or other cloned trademarked device from ANY seller in China that US CBP have been confiscating and possibly issuing massive fines to those importing any clone or counterfeit products. One member here has his confiscated but so far has not been fined. Find a seller that has stock already in the US.

EDIT: 06/22/2022 ... The VOP (Video Original Poster) featured below is Mr. Keith DeFazio from "New Line Auto". THIS Man deserves unending *Serious Props* for helping us all with understanding GM Class 2 Network Diagnostics and for his assistance with Training the other Contemporary Giants, Will Robinson from (Robinson's Auto) and "The Man From PHAD"...Crazy Ivan... from" Pine Hollow Auto Diagnostics",

Just know that Ivan is also a personal friend of Eric "O" from SMA (South Main Auto) up in Avica, New York who has benefited from Ivan's experiences and training on some Very Tough Automotive Issues. THESE Men serve our needs as The BEST Trainers and Mentors for Automotive Diagnostics... BAR NONE.

So whenever you run across ANY of their Videos while they use a combination of Scan Tools (including The "GYMKO" Tech 2") ... You'd be Wise to Download and Save this Videos!

Regarding Post #20... The Mechanic refers to him NOT bringing along his "Break-Out Box" that essentially isolates all (16) Pins of the DLC (Data Link Connector) to include "collision lights" in conjunction with a GM Tech 2, Autel tablet... and/or a DMM to diagnose similar problems in Late Model GM Trucks and SUVs.

I know this will seem a bit Arcane as a Diagnostic Tool for use by the Average Mechanic… But Understanding and Using a Network DLC OBD2 Break-Out Box in conjunction with various Bi-Directional and Oscilloscope Capable Scanners it is very worthwhile understanding.

So on the Wings of the Last Posted Video… THIS 2007 GM Uplander with the use of a Break-Out Box issue segues nicely into this opportunity of knowing HOW it gets used with the GM Tech 2 and encourages using Probes via a DMM and/or with other OBD2 DIAGNOSTIC TOOLS as needed… SIMULTANEOUSLY.

Amazon carries affordable Break-Out Boxes:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07K683HQS/?tag=gmtnation-20

Here are some still images of what this thing looks like... realizing that IT would Plug In Between the GM Tech 2 Scanner and the DLC Dash Connector:

OBD2BREAKOUTBOX1.jpgOBD2BREAKOUTBOX3.jpgOBD2BREAKOUTBOX4.jpgOBD2BREAKOUTBOX5.jpgOBD2BREAKOUTBOX0.jpgOBD2BREAKOUTBOX2.jpg

A while back... I covered this Topic with another Video over in this link...But I did NOT have access to the Video featured in Post #20 to assist with tying all of this Diagnostic Gear together:

This is one of a Series of College Course Level Automotive Training Videos from “DeadOnDiagnostics”:

012 GM Class II Communications (A Basic OBD2 DLC Connector Outline):

Again... Relating back to Post #20...

Here is another video demonstrating some more GM Class 2 Network Diagnosis Tips involving DOWN Vehicle Networks:

In the Video shown above... The VOP above was using THIS COOL uScope Palm Sized Oscilloscope:

I note that ALL of these Specialty Tools and Procedures can be used with the "GYMKO" Tech 2 while performing similar Diagnostics.

In THAT same vein, This VOP finds that the GM Sedan Driver's Side Door-Windows-Mirror Control Switches are DOA and throwing a Class 2 Network Problem as a U1170 Code. The VOP then uses his Tech 2 to run his Diagnostics and winds up having to R&R the "Circuit Board" Switch, condemning it as a "Non-Serviceable Component" in a related, follow up Video:

GM U1170 Driver Door Switch Assembly - Loss of Serial Data:

If your "GYMKO" Tech 2 Scanner ever Fails to Power Up... Don't immediately assume the Problem is with the Scanner. @MAY03LT delves into the Power Distribution Center and finds a Blown Fuse #13 after using the Correct Pre AND Post Test Procedures. Keep in mind that the "CIGAR" Lighter AND the (16) Pin OBD2 Under-Dash Connector use 12 VDC Power Inputs that BOTH share on the same 20 Amp Fuse #13 Circuit:

For anyone with a "GYMKO" Tech 2 interested in correcting their Speedometer Calibration after Swapping Tires for seasonal reasons or for putting on much larger or smaller than Stock Size Tires, this Short Video should interest you. Please Download, Save and then Play this Video at ½ Speed as the VOP (Video Original Poster) moves through the Function Key Selections rather quickly:

It’s amazing that the European SAAB Vehicles have Tech 2 Features on their PCMCIA System Cards that allow for Re-Programming their Speedometers in Very Fine Grain Detail when seasonally changing their tires.

Unless covered and explained in any other GMTN Thread… it might still be an Open Question as to whether or not Saab 9-7x Owners in North American in possession of “GYMKO” Tech 2 Scanners have these very same Options nested on their Saab PCMCIA Cards.

If so and you would like to know how to make such precise Tire Parameter Changes on your vehicles… THIS "White Board" Swedish Tech 2 Classroom Instructional Video (spoken in English) may interest you:

The 9-7x is on the regular GM NA card.

I have seen the tire size change setting but AFAIK, it's only for the ABS/traction control, as per the first video. Unless it's different for pure Saabs, the NA vehicles will not get a change to the speedo readout since it's the PCM that feeds the speedo, which is why it can be changed via HPTuners except on the early GMT360 with the 1st gen PCM (hard coded to the VIN). Later ones can be modified.

Even though this this GM Tech-Link Services Bulletin is 20 Years Old and dates back to the days of the Y2K Hysteria... There is always something New or Hidden around to learn about the GM Tech2 ...and even the TIS2000 Service Bay Software used by GM ASE Technicians dating back to the Late 90's.

Check Out Page 2 in the attached PDF as there are some interesting "Goodies" for "GYMKO" Clone Owners to examine and try out with their TIS2000 SPS and PASS-THRU activities or for those who'd like to try Graphing Snap Shots on their Windows Laptop with the TIS2000 to display up to (6) Parameters at the same time on the Full Size Laptop Screen:

Recently, I was researching the opportunity to obtain and extend my understanding of our various GM Platforms including the GMT-360 and GMT-800 SUV & Truck Line Series of Vehicles. I spied what eventually turned out to be “The GM Rosetta Stone” of High End Dealership Training CD’s & DVD’s for GM Mechanics and Technicians. These included just the right Time Line to include and cover my 2002 Trailblazer AND my 2000 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Truck.

It’s a facile argument that “Everything has already been covered about Vehicles that are around 20 Years Old… There is nothing left to learn...”. Ordinarily, this may prove to be true… That is until you get to observe and listen to the solid, “YOU MUST PASS EACH MODULE TEST WITH A SCORE OF 100% ...sort of instructions that are present here in Quantity and Quality among this amazing information source.

Last month…. I saw this group of GM Training Disks being offered as a “Huge Chunk” for around $160.00 on eBay and with the “MAKE OFFER” option present… So I banged out one for $125.00 and the Seller agreed. This turned out to allow me to purchase this entire Set of (55) Disks for only $2.27 per Disk!

I really had only a vague notion of what was on these Disks…. But after selecting the one called “GM TECH 2 Familiarization...” for THIS exemplar and getting past the Sign in Screen by simply creating an imaginary User that defaulted the collection of his Training Scores on the HARD DRIVE instead of defaulting to an A: Drive (not available) … and I was Off to the Races.

All of the Computer Screens are complimented by having an associated Audio Trainer (...courtesy a VERY pleasant Woman’s Voice) that presents ALL of the Training information VERBALLY about EVERY aspect of what needs learning versus having to wade through Page after Page of Text and images.

Each sub-section from every single Menu choice requires the User to "Pass a Test with a Score of 100%" before progressing forwards in the course materials. Moving backwards or exiting the Training Module is possible as well as receiving hints about any Questions that elicit any WRONG Answers. It's Pretty Fool Proof, really... and as such, its an excellent Teaching Method that can adapt to the many and varied abilities of Students to learn and absorb so much Technical Information.

I took 126 Images of the "GM TECH 2 Familiarization" Module and parked them on my “Flickr-Bucket” for those interested in seeing the processes unfold AND to prove the fact that I DID manage to learn NEW things about the Tech 2 when following the Sub-Modules that I had NO idea were involved with its use before this Viewing. Here are two of them:

(1) When using the Tech 2 that is connected to the OBD2 Port INSIDE the Vehicle… the External 110 Volt to 12 Volt DC 1.5 Amp External Power Unit Should NOT be Used as a Source of Power… as it will occasionally SCRAMBLE THE DATA STREAM.

(2) If the User accidentally HOLDS DOWN ANY KEYPAD KEYS on the Tech 2 Scanner during the initial Boot Up or during any Loop Back Testing using either the RS-232 Loop Back Unit OR the DLC to VCI Connector Loop Back Test… a Soft Error will appear on the PASS-FAIL Screen. This can be remedied by simply shutting down the Power and starting the procedure over again… with any “sticky fingers’ kept OFF of the Touch Pad during these events.

To get a better idea of all of the GM Training Topics covered in these Disks… Zoom in the on any of the Five attached images:

GMTRAININGDDISKS.jpgGMTRAININGDDISKS1.jpgGMTRAININGDDISKS2.jpgGMTRAININGDDISKS3.jpgGMTRAININGDDISKS4.jpg

These photos and the additional images of the Screen-By- Screen first look at the GM Tech 2 Familiarization Disk are available on my "Flickr-Bucket" for anyone curious of how these Instruction Modules work. I wish I could include the .WAV files associated with these as it really is a very rich and interesting experience. If you Like to Learn and can find ANY of these Disks reasonably priced on eBay... BUY THEM! You will NOT be disappointed. :>)

Nice! Are these regular DVD videos? Maybe you could rip the one on the Tech2 and upload it to YT. Heck, I even noticed the one on Four Wheel Drive Systems, which could be useful for those trying to repair them.

Unfortunately, No... These are NOT typical DVD media. They are actually Self-Loading, Multi-Media Applications that have an Inter-Active Training Structure that is Mouse Pointer Prompt Driven. When combined on screen and via audio... Each New Prompt launches the Female Training Voice Over that has the core of the information needed for each Section and Sub-Section followed by the On Screen Test for each one. I suspect that GM Dealership Employees back in the late 1990s - 2000s had to use In-House Tech-Line Terminals... and Sign these Disks IN and OUT via their Managers to get certified.

The User cannot progress to the next consecutive area without perfectly passing each Multi-Choice Test . Her penetrating voice emphatically delivers ALL of what would normally be written out, Chapter & Verse from what must be the GM University College Text Book unique for each and every training category.

I have not tried to Dupe any of these Media Disks yet... but I'll give it a shot. @Mooseman... I will take your suggestion seriously and attempt to do the Screen Prints of the Entire Training Disk for the Four Wheel Drive Repair Instructions and post them in their own Folder on my "Flickr-Bucket". Unfortunately, there is no option to load either *.WAV, or *,MP3 files to the server...so I cannot provide a Demonstration Audio file from the Disk here of the "M*LF"s very pleasant Voice.

I went through a random sampling of these Disks (which covers the years from 2000 to 2005) and they are SO DENSELY PACKED with additional GM Design Information, Operational Theory and Multi-Media assistance that it isn't funny. The way GM ties in using the Tech 2 for going on Test Drives while making all manner of system checks and component checks under varied driving tests to work out problems being described for O2 Sensor Diagnostics... was WAY COOL.

Hell, the one that covers the 4L60E Transmission Internals was like taking the Willy Wonka Multi-Media Ride through the Guts of the Transmission using 3D Cutaways of the Colored Clutch Packs while following along with Transmission Fluid Flowing through various Ball Check Valves to instigate the entire series of Clutch Pack activity. Meanwhile the Voice Over walks you through each cascading action between all manner of 4L60E Shift Conditions. My God... it makes reading all of the GM OEM Service Manuals you've ever seen while searching for repair solutions look like little, "Pulp Fiction" novelettes. Definitely NOT for the Faint Of Heart where Mechanical Repairs are concerned.

The later versions of these Disks have Male Voice Overs that are perhaps just as effective... but certainly NOT as enjoyable as the Woman narrating the earliest one on the subject of Tech 2 Familiarization. One last thing... These GM Training Programs are so ridiculously NOT in the Public Domain that attempting to Dupe any of them would only invite a lot of trouble with so many copyright issues. I noticed that while running them on my Dell Precision M65 with the Windows 2000 Pro OS... the Training Program(s) would occasionally, surreptitiously try to "Phone Home". So using these things Off-Line is probably 'Best Practice'.

FWIW... The same eBay Seller (Atlantic City Pickers) that I bought this bunch of Disks from has yet ANOTHER set of these GM ASE Training Discs ( although not quite as many as the group I bought...) but this other batch being offered DOES include the one about Four Wheel Drive Systems that you inquired about. If it were me, I'd offer them $75.00 for the whole lot (35 Discs)... and call it Good Deal if they accept:

Not quite that interested and they don't ship to Canada (not mentioned either in included or excluded countries). Only mentioned the four wheel drive system disk because I saw it there and might be interesting for someone looking for info.

The Tech 2 ones would probably be the most interesting and useful since it's a pretty technical subject and there's probably a lot more on these that we don't know.

Dr. Shock has recently created a Series of AWESOME Videos showing us How to Build a GM Bench Top Harness to handle a combination of GM Vehicle Modules for his Chevrolet Cavalier such as:

(1) The PCM
(2) The BCM
(3) The Radio (XM Radio)
(4) The IPC (Instrument Panel Cluster)

BUT… Please... Don’t get hung up on the fact that he is NOT describing EXACTLY what the Pin-Outs would be for our GMT-360s, GMT-400s or the GMT-800 Components.

If you follow along and either make Screen Prints of the various Highlights and Notations he makes and explains & also Download these Videos, you SHOULD be able to take the IDEA of this technique and work through your OWN vehicle Harness, PCM, BCM, OBD2, RADIO & IPC Modules Wiring and Pin-Out Layouts - Diagrams and come up with Working Harness unique for your own situation:

The Complex Harness Build:

In this one, he sorts out a VIN Locked XM Radio Receiver:

This is another Video from Dr Shock's YouTube Channel that demonstrates the value of being able to re-program a Junk Yard PCM ***ON THE BENCH*** to VIN match the required Calibration(s) of the one being replaced inside his Vehicle:

In THIS one ...Dr. Shock explains how to replace a BCM EEPROM issues for using the Odometer Data on his Chevrolet Cavalier and sort things out for the IPC and BCM Stored Odometer Data that he cannot solve just using his “GYMKO” Tech 2:

If you either own or are intent upon obtaining a “GYMKO” Tech 2 Hand-Held Scanner Kit, you should be aware that right now on Wednesday, July 15th, 2020, eBay has an offer selling a Lot of (16) Official GM ASE Tech College Courses. Most importantly, included in THIS batch are Training Disks is a 2 Hour Course on How To Use the “GYMKO” Tech 2 Hand Held Scanner for OBD2 Emissions System Hands On Driving Performance Diagnostics that is PRICELESS ...and well worth the $50.00 Price of Ownership:

GMASETECHTRAININGDISKS.jpg

I own THIS particular OBD2 Training Disc along with 54 Other On-Topic Training Discs, so I can personally testify and vouch for their Amazing Training and Instruction Value and Utility while working Hand in Glove with the Tech 2 Scanner. This particular one WILL help to educate you quite nicely on How to Get the MOST Out of Your Tech 2 for things related to Drive Time EVAP System Diagnostics and provide you with DEEP Training on all aspects of the GM Tech 2 OBD2 Functions. Many of the OTHER Discs in this Group are simply “The Icing On The Cake”.

Please Note that there are VERY FEW other similar offers for these Sets of GM Technician’s College Courses on eBay that are MUCH more complete in number of topics they cover quite comprehensively. However, if even available, they will also come with MUCH Bigger Price Tags for the Full Sets:

For Example...for $180.00 OBO...

WHAT THE HELL... MAKE HIM AN OFFER FOR $125.00:

This is Randy from Canada... (LoBuck LS from his Youtube Channel) explaining “How to Install ACDelco TDS Tech2Win Software on a Windows 10 supported Laptop Computer". THIS is an Excellent “Learn as You Go…” How To:

In this Video… Randy shows us How to install the VXDIAG Software and the Device and explains the critical problems of having to de-install some Chinese Malware that comes with a High Threat Level...and How to Get Around This Problem and sidestep any issues by obtaining Alternative Current Versions of the VXDIAG Software:

NOTE:

If you have previously installed the VXDIAG Diagnostic Tool Software and they failed to function… Double Run your Anti-Virus – Anti-Malware Software and also follow any recommendations that may be offered by @southsidesmoka ‘s Tech 2 and Tech2Win Threads for working around these issues or when using the VMWare Windows Installations of this Stuff.

Let's throw in One More Video where Randy Swaps in a New BCM Module into a GMC Truck and Programs it with SPS via the ACDelco TDS Web Site using a VXDIAG Nano Device:

Hi All, first time poster here. I came across this video as I was researching VXDIAG. The malware potential is problematic and while the install/de-install process works it becomes a PITA. I chose to buy an old laptop ($30 for an old Dell core I5 w/ 4GB RAM), did a fresh install of Windows 7 Pro 32 (note: reinstalled the OS using the existing COA license #), added a browser (Chrome), ran all the updates, and then installed VXDIAG. Worked like a charm. As a precaution, I made a backup disk image of the working setup.

Welcome to GMT Nation...

And Thanks for the information on the "VXDIAG Stand-Alone" 32 Bit Box as a solution. I think we could also benefit from any Help that @southsidesmoka might provide on setting up a Virtual Machine in the 32 Bit Windows Environment.

I've been watching YT Videos from "Scammer Bait" on counter-attacking the problem of Scammers...and he uses Virtual Windows Machines inviting these Crooks to literally 'Hack The Box... without suffering anything in the way of a bleed over onto the Real Machine.

If this worked out... by using the Oracle VMWare, installing Windows 7 Pro 32 Bit AND while using a Decent VPN... you could run the VXDIAG and not have to De-Install it every time it was required.

Have a look at how well this actually works in some of these Videos as the Scammers are unaware that they have accessed Virtual Machines during their nefarious activities:
