I've read about adding additional weather stripping to the hood/firewall area to avoid having water drip onto the valve cover and filling up spark plug holes. When I did my sparkplugs I noticed it looked like some water had been sitting in there (evidence of corrosion) but none was present as it probably evaporated off.
I've read we can add weather stripping but does the weather stripping go on the underside of the hood where the hood meets the existing rubber seal. Or do you put it on top of the existing seal and have the hood close down on top of it?. Or do you put it in front of the existing rubber seal along the top of the little ledge at the top of the firewall? Any info would be appreciated. c good
