Hey guy i know my air pump or check valve is going bad how do I check each one? Also early morning besides the jet like sound I get seems to me like misfires from the exhaust while its doing the cycle for about the first 6 seconds of running on a cold day any idea if its related to the air system? Also no codes at all, air system had been going bad for about a year now

You can pull them off and check them on a bench with a 12V source. Need the schematics?

Ok what would I be listening for?
Ummmm, been discussed in all the other threads about the SAIS. The check valve opens and lets the pump air get forced into the exhaust manifold. So if you take the hose off, you should hear a few seconds worth of unmuffled exhaust noises from the check valve opening.
