70° and "Ice Possible"

It's about 70° here in Indiana today. I was riding home from class, and suddenly heard a chime. I looked down, and the readout said Ice Possible. I looked around, wondering if I was losing traction or something. I then looked at the outside temp, and it said 40°. The Ice Possible message disappeared, and I noticed the temperature rapidly rise back to the 70s.

What would cause that? Is the a sign of future problems, possibly with the sensor? I do have a stuck driver mode door actuator. Could that be part of the cause? I wasn't using the air conditioning or heat, and actually had the sunroof and windows open.

It is probably the ambient temp sensor which is pretty easy and cheap to fix.

Your truck must have come from So. California. I heard they have a feature to make us feel like we get weather changes like ice. :rotfl::raspberry:

Hell, some people out here drive like there is ice at 70 degrees and rain....:hissyfit:
