I have a brand new set of the Cooper 265's in 15" that I purchased for another vehicle, then sold that vehicle. Id like to put them on my TB. As we already know there are very few choices in 6x5 lugged rims, (don't like stock rims much), but there are PLENTY of really good choices in 15x8 with 6x5.5 lug pattern,...is there an adaptor to go from 6x5 to 6x5.5 ? The set up pictures below is what I'm shooting for.

I can get these in 265/75/16,.. more aggressive tread pattern probably not needed, (I do more on road than off), and these could go on stock rims with spacers,.. but again I'm not a big fan of the stock rims.

Yes there are adapters (MarkMC has good ones), but you can't use 15 inch wheels due to brake clearance. You'd need 16 inch wheels minimum.

Please watch double posting inside 10 minutes, but I combined them for you.

You will have issues with 15s more than just adapters which are in standard use around here. Most use the ones through MarkMC who is a long time member and pioneer for the platform.

To clear the brakes you need to ensure you find 15s with 3.5 inch backspacing or less and do not want to run the larger brakes from an EXT/XL/SS like would be advised with larger tires and more rotating mass. Also steel vs aluminum and wheel style comes into play as the clearance is MMs.

EDIT: YOU CAN RUN 15s... It has and is done by many, but it takes proper fitment and not just any wheels. You can also fit 16s with the larger brakes. Done both.

I thought that might be an issue, but I tried putting some ION 15" wheels that I have in my avatar on, and aside from the lug pattern not matching, the rims seemed to clear the calipers,...hmmm?

See my post for the specs that you need to check with backspacing

Thank you HardTRZ,...will do,..is it safe to say that 3.5 or less back space will put the wheel 2.5+" out from stock?,.. that seems like a lot,.. Id rather not go much further out than the fender...or ill be buying fender flares! lol

You will be way the hell outside the fender to run 15s. No way around it. You will be about 6 inches wider.

There are no fender flares to buy, so you use some universal junk or try and adapt something, but nothing that really fits has been found in years of looking.

I see,..thats a bit much for my mall rated rig ,..and 4.5" backspacing wont allow room for brakes on 15x8's correct?

Bingo. You will be on the caliper.
