5.3 Teardown Vid

This guy's YouTube channel is interesting. Here he tears down a 5.3 from a Trailblazer. He doesn't really find anything catastrophic on this one - just worn out from lack of oil changes. Watch some of his other videos to see some real carnage.

I saw his vids last night. Very interesting. The 6.2 from the Escalade was brutal as well as the Corvette LS7. One had a missing piston and the other a bent rod.

You could definitely see the lack of oil changes in that 5.3 with the heavy varnish. Well cared for engines are evident even if they blow up for other reasons.

In one of his videos, he mentioned he's always looking for help in his shop. What a great job. Tearing down core engines, picking out good parts, witnessing the carnage of blown engines and getting paid for it. Think he's in St. Louis. I may move.
