What is a G80 and is there another name for it? What does it look like? Where does it go on my trailblazer? I have 4 wheel drivebut i obviously have the one that doesn't lock in I just have a pretty button.

Look at the rpo codes in your glove box. If it has g80 it will say so.

A G80 is a locking rear end. It would be in the rear differential (the pumpkin in the middle of the rear axle). It affects how the rear tires put power to the ground. Apparently you have found that one side spins (the one that has the least traction) instead of spinning both to get you moving in a low-traction situation.
