4l60e help please

can anyone tell me if a 4 L 60 e transmission out of a Yukon there is four wheel drive work in a Rainier that is all wheel drive

Depending on the years, yes. 07 there was an internal change. V8 to V8, no problem. V8 to I6 you have to swap the bellhousing and torque converter.

It's an 01 and an 04

I know for sure that the 4wd and AWD tailshaft and mating pattern are the same within the same platform however not sure if it is the same with the Tahoe's larger transfer case. The mating pattern may be different. The 01 internally should be the same as the 04.

Okay thanks well hopefully it's all the same I'm going to go pull that transmission out of the Tahoe today and hopefully it works she's only charging me 250 for it

Only going on the information provided. Did you check the fluid level with the engine idling?

Did you swap the torque converters? Prob would still drive but the converter in the GMT360 is more specific if you have the I6....believe a higher stall.
