July 23rd weekend it is, guess I should start a tread... but I'm not going to lol

Someone start one, Friday - Sunday, Elkhart, IN
Hog will be done Saturday around 2 or 3pm for late lunch.

Can figure out other stuff to do that weekend, open to suggestions. Kids are welcome, have a trampoline and pool (smallish, don't puke in it) plenty of room for tents, a bit of a bar, etc..

Grimor is hosting us this year. So lets get this rolling.

Attending:
Ground 0. Grimor - ? - Providing place and PORK
1. Hardtrailz - 1 (for now) - Bring Cole Slaw
2.

You beat me to it!

Other stuff we'll need is an address, and suggestions for places to stay the night as I would imagine he doesn't have the space (or maybe desire lol) to put a bunch of people up overnight. Would be good if we could all be in just one or two places.

Attending:

Ground 0. Grimor - ? - Providing place and PORK
1. Hardtrailz - 1 (for now) - Bring Cole Slaw
2. Sparky - 1 - assorted bags of chips/snacks

Pretty aure I'll be there lol.

I have a pretty big backyard so I can fit a decent amount of tents, some limited house space for people with aversions to nature. I should have a screened gazeebo, and 3 tents for people to crash in if you don't have your own. Also plenty of local hotels if anyone wants to pick one for as a preference.

Will be looking for area events and stuff for that weekend as well. Feel free to share on Facebook groups (for our platform lol, can't do a whole block party)

If I do a band again, any music preferences? rock? country? 80's hair cover band?

I will be great to finally meet you mate...can't recall having done that before.
Me too, as a matter of fact I'll be purchasing the MDB radiator skid and oil pan armor, hoping to have it installed as a group activity during the meet.

So, I've been looking around the garage, outside, spare TB, kitchen, etc... and realized I have a lot of stuff I dont need. Some maybe for sale, and other stuff will be given away at the meet. Figure if more than 1 person wants the free stuff, we can do litte door prize style drawings. Anyone with stuff they want to sell/give away ia welcome to bring it. A little parts redistribution should be fun, as long as people don't get butt hurt about anything.

I swear, hosting the meet isn't just a ploy to get rid of unwanted parts

We could start a swap meet thread. I got some stuff not worth shipping, but some might want as well.

I got a 3.8 but aside from valve springs (which I have) I can't think of anything.

i'll list what i have and part numbers later. most of the parts are cooling related like pump, hoses, e-fans, etc.

I know my fans make noise, the pass sounds like the bearings are dead and I think the one lower rad hose leaks, but need to slide under and check

Booked my room at the Red Roof, about $62 a night. Not bad. I could have gotten it a tad cheaper but it would have been non-refundable so I spent the extra couple bucks just in case something bad happened like I got real sick or whatever and couldn't make it.

How'd you get $62? I booked through Booking and I'm paying $82 with tax.

I went straight to red roof's website, book a night, punched in the city/state, and clicked AAA discount price. I didn't get the king room, just got the cheaper room that is two double beds instead of a single king. Decided to save the 10 bucks a night. After tax it is closer to $68 after looking at it.

Half the time I've found it the same price or cheaper just going direct vs a booking service anymore.

Anyone have a ball joint press they wouldn't mind bringing to the meet?

Wanting to do your upper?

The rental from Advance Auto worked fine for me when I did mine. That upper joint isn't too bad to do, at least compared to the lower.

That may be what I end up doing. Just thought you wheeling guys might actually have one, as I would imagine you'd be changing them a lot more than the average driver would.

Every year or two, but not worth owning and storing to me. Free rental is easy!
