I was doing a damage evaluation today on a Ssang Yong Actyon and this was at the dealer. I've seen a couple driving around and have been wanting to take a look at one. The dealer bought a couple NOS to test the market. This vehicle is based on the Thailand made Colorado/Dmax/Mu-X so some of the styling is similar especially on the interior and front end. Vehicle uses a 2.8l Duramax Diesel engine.IMG_20180406_134941.jpgIMG_20180406_135031.jpgIMG_20180406_135003.jpgIMG_20180406_135023.jpgIMG_20180406_135137.jpgIMG_20180406_134950.jpgIMG_20180406_134930.jpgIMG_20180406_135040.jpgIMG_20180406_135012.jpg

Looks OK. I just don't dig that washing machine dial in the center stack. Probably will never come here due to import costs and taxes. Also GM wouldn't want internal competition for the Traverse/Acadia.

Floating D-pillar
Some of the front end styling (although those projectors (?) are old-school - LEDs are superior lighting, and cheap besides)
Interior color scheme (not the controls; I can't improve on how Mooseman described the center stack).

Being an LTZ, I think it needs a little more luxury added, as it will carry a premium compared to the lower trims (unless they somehow come up w/ a 'High Country' trim or some such.) Carrying the two-tone set up to the seats would help a little with that, IMO.

The Dmax badge should've went farther front - on the vertical hood surface would've been good (would remind one of the HD pickups). Also a little smaller, and not as blocky / 'chrome-y' (yes, I know that's a lot of comment about a trim badge, but since they're calling attention to the engine, put the badge closer to where the engine actually is). Can't go on the liftgate; that's busy enough already.

While I like the length of the window in the rear door, I absolutely HATE the 'forward / backward' curvature between the bottom edge of the rear door glass and the side glass / rear quarter (which is also tapered top / bottom; making that area the worst styling elements of the vehicle - bad enough that I'd make a different purchase decision, no matter how good the rest of the vehicle is (e.g.; Pontiac Aztek))

I know I'll be one of the rare people here who like the running boards. They should be color-matched on the LTZ, along with an integrated mud flap - the combination of both stock mud guards & black running boards together - more design conflict. No bueno. :sadcry:

Finally, there's way too much gap between tire & wheel well (something GM has been known for for decades). I see that the wheels are 6-lug - hopefully, they're not a unique offset, like ours are.

They are selling them for $91,000.00BZD which would be $45,500.00USD. I will say it looks much better than it's counterpart the Isuzu Mu-X. The Mu-X is to the Trailblazer what the Ascender is to the Trailblazer, but oddly it's reversed in the sense that this Trailblazer is based on the Mu-X like how the Colorado is based on the D-Max. I never understood why they had a circular HVAC layout on a squared panel. Only the Colorado/D-Max built for certain regions had this. Other regions used the layout like I had in my D-Max which looks much better. Oddly that circular layout was considered to be only for the top of the line models as it had added features and functionality, I guess like auto climate control. The pic attached is the layout I had in my D-MAX and well just threw in some other pics. It was a 2013.2013-09-15165721_zps02f17ff2.JPGDSC05456_zps81374c7b.JPG2013-10-19162940_zpsb162727b (1).JPG2013-10-19162946_zpsfe2f437c.JPG

Like others, I'm not fond of the Izuzu front end, especially the grille area. Waaay too busy.

Ironically, everything I disliked on the Chevy version seems to work as an Isuzu design. And as I mentioned earlier, I liked the Chevy's front end. Now I know why - it's the only part of the vehicle touched by GM stylists. No wonder I thought the Trailblazer looked strange as a GM - it's an Asian design. But it 'makes sense', with that in mind.

Those comments are mostly concerning the exterior. On the interior, it's still a mess, with the washing machine knob in the center stack as the prime offender - the eye is immediately drawn to it, and not in a good way.
