Dates for this meet have changed.
Coldwater, MI
Pre-Meet - May 18th 8:00pm
Applebee's Neighborhood Grill
787 East Chicago Street, Coldwater, MI 49036-2027
(517) 278-1432
Meet - May 19th 11:00am
We will be in the Parkhurst Park across from Max Larsen Elementary School. There is plenty of parking for us in the school parking lot. The address is: 25 Parkhurst Avenue Coldwater, MI 49036
Parkhurst Park is the site of the very popular Kids’ Kingdom. Built almost entirely of wood, the sprawling complex includes many nooks and crannies to explore and is a year round favorite of children everywhere. The park includes two pavilions, shuffleboard court and basketball court and restroom facilities.
For dinner that night there are plenty of local restaurants that have good reviews. A couple that stood out were Tail Gator's Sports Bar (Great pizza and burgers), Los Tequilas (Mexican), and Stoagies Family Room Cafe. The final decision can be made that afternoon at the park.
For lodging they have all the major hotel chains available so I am sure we can get a good group rate or folks can find good deals through hotwire. All the hotels look to be walking distance from each other so even if we are split up a bit it shouldn't be an issue for parking lot festivities. Please post how many nights you will be staying, as we get closer to the meet I will see about group rates with one of the local hotels.
Post-Meet - Sunday May 20th 9:00am
Breakfast at the hotel or one of the local restaurants. There is a Bob Evans right by all of the hotels.
Bob Evans Restaurant
361 North Willowbrook Road, Coldwater, MI 49036
(517) 279-2101 (517) 279-2204 (Fax)
Following breakfast, 11:00am, Bundy Hill Off Road Park
This will provide an off-road event for the meet as well. I am sure that the lifted / off road members will be more then willing to offer an available seat to anyone that would be interested to attend and is unable to take their truck into the park.
Drive time looks to be a local drive from Kalamazoo and Lansing, MI; 1 hour Fort Wayne, IN; 2 hours from Detroit, MI; 3 hours from downtown Chicago, IL and Indianapolis, IN; 4 hours from Columbus, OH; 5 hours from Louisville, KY; and 6 hours from Amana, IA.
There you have it folks, I hope it meets everyone's expectations. Now get to signing up, please copy the list of names and add yourself to the bottom. Thanks
