Hi, I am looking at a 207 Avalanche with 204,000 mies. I know it is a lot. I can get it for around $12,000. What do you all think? Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the Nation :tiphat:

Do you have any info on it as far as specs? If-so i'd go input all that info in on Kelly Blue Book and then see. I'd also look up the VIN on Carfax to see past owners and see if it's ever been in any accidents. Yeah you'll have to pay a small fee, but its worth if you're seriously considering buying this vehicle.

$12,000 for a 2007 Avalanche with 204,000 miles seems ridiculous to me. I have seen Avalanches for that price used, but with 100,000 less miles. $8,000 might be acceptable for that amount of mileage. Just my opinion though.

If you go forward, I would try to find out all of the information on the vehicle regarding maintenance history, any accidents, original transmission and engine or rebuilt, etc.

Thank you. It is an LTZ. Bluebook says it is worth $17,000 with that many miles. I am still checking g things out.

It really depends on whether it is at a stealership or private sale. Especially a buy here pay here, the vehicle will be marked up 30-50% above FMV. FYI

I wouldn't buy it for that price.
I agree. I would want it for under $10,000. I can get a 2004 Escalade with 140,000 miles for $7,000. I may just go that route.

No problem bud; I'm on the same page with Dmanns and Trails, for that many miles 12K is too much

Yes I agree. I am passing on it. Looking at a 2003 Escalade EXT with 72,400 miles. They are asking $14,000.

That does not seem like a bad deal.

Good call though on passing on the Avalanche. Who knows what kind of issues you would run into with that many miles.

Thanks. I agree. That is why I am passing on it. That is what worried me.
