2004 Rainier seat airbag connector differences from an '06 SWB Envoy

So, I am swapping a complete(minus headliner)2006 SWB Envoy interior into my 2004 Rainier. Everything is going well, BUT the seat airbag connectors are different. I have the 2 wire, body harness side connectors--from d/s & p/s--and a foot of the wire that goes with them, that I snipped from the Envoy. Wanted to splice them onto the Rainier body side harness ends, so I can plug them into the swapped-in Envoy seats, and retain seat airbag functionality. Not sure how to proceed. I don't have wiring diagrams. Don't want to start splicing, cross the wires, and potentially cause, "Ka-boom"

Appreciate any guidance,
Karl in Phoenix

Check the manuals downloads in my signature. May have the required schematics.

It will, from my knowledge, set a air-bag light. 2005 started a new generation of air-bag..
For example:
A steering wheel airbag for 2002-2004 are part number 15168514
A steering wheel airbag for 2005-2009 are part number 15112397

You would be better off to take the seat covers off, and swap the cushion and leather.

And even then, I am not sure it couldnt potentially be a problem.

2002-2004 had a surface mounted air bag. As seen on the side of the seat in this pic..

In 2005 they switched to a frame mounted below the surface air bag. And the airbag was changed, in its charge and delivery, to rip thru the stitching, to deploy.. As seen in this pic of a 2005..

My suggestion.. Dont do it.

Okay, sounds good...I did remove the '04 airbags from the seats, and noticed the difference in the way they were mounted, as compared to the '06 seats. Will definitely not do it, now. Thanks!!
