Hey guys, my ‘03 LT with the 6 cyl. has developed what I’d call a “lazy shift” from 1st to 2nd gear. Are there any adjustments I can make for a firmer shift?
It’s not slipping, per se.
Thanks!

Start with a fluid and filter change. Look for debris in the pan, metal in the pan is bad, go from there. Some stuff on the magnet that can be wiped off is ok. Use Dex 6, it makes a difference.

Do a search on Transgo shift kits. The kit comes with metal actuators to replace the stock plastic ones which crack over time and allow fluid through them, which can cause sloppy shifts. I put one of these kits in my old '03 TB and it made a dramatic difference. That said putting it in involves taking down the valve body. Not for the faint of heart, just take your time. I spent 5 hours.

Not sure if it is appropriate for your situation, but part of my Limequat tune involved firming up my shifts. It was a noticable improvement.
