Hello all, I have the drivers side blend door actuator and the mode actuator door that need replacing. However, I am seeing conflicting part numbers for those parts. Does anyone know that part numbers are correct for the drivers blend door and the mode door? Thank you for your help. I have lurked for years on this site and it has been great.

Thanks Rob

Thank you for the quick reply! That is exactly why this site is so great!

I may have missed them but I didn’t see part numbers for the actuators though. If I go through that gmparts website will those part numbers be correct for the 2002 model? I just want make sure I order correctly.

Thanks again. Rob

Depending on whether you have auto or manual controls, depends on the part number.

The alternative is to remove the offending actuators and look at the part numbers on them.

Also, you'll need a 5.5mm socket for the bolts.

I was able to pull the actuators out. The 1st picture is of the mode actuator. The numbers are legible but doesn’t come up with anything on the gmparts website. That item, #30 if I am reading it correctly, is NLA.

The 2nd picture is the drivers side temperature control actuator. That part number is not very legible and also NLA per the website.

I will keep digging around to see if I can find the numbers appropriate for the 2002. Nothing like a fun game of part number search!

Thanks Rob

All of them are going to have superseded part numbers.

Just a matter of hunting down the right part numbers.

52408412 has been superseded 3 times, but I cant find the new part #.

I have not confirmed, but 89018539 and 89018525 maybe?

Or it's quite possible the OEM has stopped making them since it's been over 10 years since the last one rolled out in 2009. May have to go with aftermarket. We're finding more and more part numbers for these trucks are NLA.

Whatever you do, stay away from Dorman.
