I went to a salvage yard, and pulled them out of another GMT360. That way I know its the right socket plug, and fitment. Just look for one that has no rust, or other crap in there, get em pulled, put em in your pocket, have a nice day.... At least thats what I do.. :squint: Its always fun trying...

I have used KYB in my recent suspension rebuild, and no complaints.

I imagine the "a lot of burnt oil" is just GM's pathetic breather/PCV system. Its also why the throttle bodys get so gummed up. I wouldnt do the cooler, wont make a bit of difference.

Did the tailgate come off the same year truck? What year truck did it come off of? We had this problem talked about just recently. The wiring of something like that was different. Owner swapped the wiring from the old hatch to the new hatch, problem solved. Could also be a had motor

@Mooseman - Forgive me here, my brain is not running on all 8 today.. For his 2005 with bose, is he going to have the CAN-BUS system, or the Class2? I know one is referred to as the LUX smart system, and the Non-LUX dumb system. If my memory serves me correctly, its the Class2.
