Led 9006 head lights without modding

If you ever find 9006 LED bulbs that look like your regular filament bulbs, ignore them. Any LED bulb with your time/money will come with a driver of some sort, similar to how HIDs require a ballast. All of the circuitry and voltage regulation will be done by the driver, as the LED bulbs...

    Coolant Leak

I was thinking this too. Or at least one of those connections at the firewall, is leaking. The actual rear core, is in the cargo area.

Led 9006 head lights without modding

If you're talking about individual LEDs, which are low powered, and building your own circuits then yeah... But your thread is about headlight LED bulbs...

What did you do to your GMT today?

If they were local, and not over an hour's drive away, I would have brought it to them to do just that. Took a peek under there, metal shift linkage bushing is still intact, so that's good. The truck seemed to be quieter, but the true test will be when I fire it up cold first thing in the...

Led 9006 head lights without modding

You only need load resistors on LED turn signal bulbs to prevent hyperflash, or LED brake light bulbs to retain cruise control (if using an LED flasher module)

What did you do to your GMT today?

Drove it over an hour, home from the stealership. A lot of it is probably paranoia, but every little noise had me checking gauges the whole way home. The truck drives pretty sluggish now, so I'm thinking they flashed over my tune. Luckily I have the files in my email, so one of these...

    What are you doing today?

Came to work for the morning, instead of the afternoon like I had been doing. Thankfully, the house guests stayed quiet so I didn't get woken up last night. Called the stealership to check on the EXT, since it was supposed to be ready yesterday afternoon, but they never called. Tech is doing...

Fog lights stay on after turning off.

Yeah man, that's a head scratcher. I know with mine, if I hit the fog button, when everything is off, it turns on the parking lights, and interior back lighting. Opposite of what yours is doing. You said you removed the 6 hi mod right? Reverted to a completely stock setup in your fuse block?

Enjoyed sleeping in, wish I could always work half days. I guess THIS is what semi retirement feels like? :undecided: Welcome back! :tiphat:

    What are you doing today?

Yeah, I planned on doing the paint myself. Had been looking at HVLP guns earlier in the year. I've bought from ATU in the past when I painted my grille, crossbar, and side mirrors. Definitely plan to go with them again. Since removing my billet grille, I have some serious wear marks that...

    What are you doing today?

Well, this IS Florida, so who knows... Roadside only gave me up to a 25 mile tow, and I'm not familiar with that area outside of the highway. It's still 60 miles away from home. :ugh: Dealership called me this morning just before 7am to get the scoop on what happened. Took a look and said...

    What are you doing today?

Since it was nice and cloudy this morning, got up and mowed the weeds, raked up a bunch of dead leaves that piled up against the fence, watered and turned the compost pile. Got cleaned up, and laundry running. About to settle in and watch some TV for a bit before heading out on a grocery run...

What did you do to your GMT today?

Put it on a flatbed. :sadcry: 15 minutes into the drive back from Orlando, the tranny started slipping in stop and go traffic. When things opened up, I lost all forward gears. Luckily we had 2 vehicles, instead of just mine.

    What are you doing today?

Relaxing for a bit, before meeting up with some friends to caravan over to Orlando for an early group birthday dinner at one of the Disney resorts. (yeah, we fancy!) Then we'll head back in time to watch the UFC fights this evening. Will have to fuel up the EXT since I volunteered to drive...

    What are you doing today?

Made it to work for my half day. Just as my friends were getting ready to leave for Orlando for the weekend, the county inspector shows up. Good timing. Everything passed, so I'm good to go there. Got a letter in the mail from the utility company, saying they would come swap out my meter in...

    What are you doing today?

:book: I had to go look up what that meant. :bonk: When the inspector came to check out what they had done a week ago, he gave them a checklist of things they needed to do before reinspection. One of them, since they upgraded my panel from 150 amps to 200 amps, was rewire the stove and...

    What are you doing today?

I'm working half days for the next week and a half, while I have house guests in town, so was planning to sleep late and be lazy, since they were going to the beach today. NOPE!!! Solar company shows up with 2 electricians to convert my dryer and stove wiring from 3 to 4 wires, at 10am. But...

    HID conversion issues

Hmm, I would then suggest doing a voltage test at the low beam plug inside your passenger headlight, and the harness that plugs into the bottom of the passenger headlight assembly, when that side goes out. I think your problem is further upstream from the HID equipment.

Loud banging and strong vibration, HELP!

Lift up the front end, slide under and have a look. I thought I had a pic of mine, I know my passenger side motor mount has gone bad. It's split, and the fluid inside dripped out on my garage floor (that's what caused me to look) Typically, it's the passenger side that goes first.

    What are you doing today?

Trying to stay busy at work, while ticking down to quitting time. Last night did some last minute, final cleaning around the house, as my guest should be arriving by 6pm, after 30 hours in the car. Depending on their energy levels, we may order in some dinner, or go out. I think the current...

    HID conversion issues

 So your passenger side was cutting out, BEFORE you installed the harness as well? What type of relay harness do you have? Is the relay triggered by just the driver's side low beam signal, or does your use inputs from both low beam plugs?

    HID conversion issues

Sounds like it could be an issue with the relay harness itself. If you unplug the ballast from the harness, and check for voltage with a meter at the harness' plug, do you see voltage, or no?
