    2007 Tahoe 4l60e Transmission Fluid/Filter Change Questions.

I responded to your PM to me. Get a sub to alldata diy, and I think in there it describes how to remove the cable. I don't recall that part being particularly hard to do, but I can't remember exactly how it comes off. I think there are some clips you pull out, and then you pop the ball end...

NEED HELP AC went out yesterday..

Thanks guys. Any guess at what savings would be to replace the accumulator myself and then have the shop do the rest? As opposed to a shop doing the whole thing? I mean if its a $500 job for the shop to do the whole thing, or a $400 job if I do part...might as well spend the $500 if we are...

NEED HELP AC went out yesterday..

I never put anything in there like stop leak. But it was checked for leaks at some point because there is a sticker on it that says so. Replacing the accumulator doesn't seem like such a big deal. Would it make sense to replace it first and take it some where to have it "vac'd" out and then...

NEED HELP AC went out yesterday..

Ok so finally got back to this. With the use of a blacklight that my stepson has, we found that the bottom of the AC accumulator was covered in the dye and all around the area directly underneath it but no where else. We took the cap off the Schrader valve and there is dye present in there...

NEED HELP AC went out yesterday..

Well whatever the smell is, isn't there any more, and whatever leaked has stopped. Still doesn't work and honestly have not had the time to do much inspection on it. House hunting is a pita, especially when you essentially homeless...ie living in someone else's house lol. Well technically...

NEED HELP AC went out yesterday..

I don't think the smell came from the cab. I think it was when she got out of the truck. However, its parked for now, and she is carpooling with me until we can figure something out, or she can't carpool with me any longer lol. Thanks for the responses. I will try and look underneath this...

NEED HELP AC went out yesterday..

So on my wifes envoy, the AC decided to stop working yesterday. Its a 2003 with about 140k on it. 2 days ago, it worked normally. Yesterday we went to leave the house and she complained of no AC. Being it was Fathers day and all, we had a bunch of running around to do, so we figured to look...

    Repairing center console lid.

We fixed my wife's by using this plastic welder stuff called plexus to put it back together. Its some strong stuff! But we ended up taking out the ribs and filling the whole thing with this plexus stuff and now you could stand on it and it won't break. After seeing it though, it is apparent...

    Question about blend door actuators

Thank you for the info! Just to clarify, is the reference pic for the area in question or rather the location of actuators up front?

    Question about blend door actuators

Yes she has a envoy xl. If we go anywhere where air back there would be an issue, we use my truck. She just can't stand the clicking noise. When you say passenger panel, what exactly would you mean? Do the seats have to be removed for access or just folded up?

    Question about blend door actuators

So the wife's envoy is making a clicking sound in the back every time she starts the car. Goes away after about 30 seconds maybe less. I think it's recently started doing it twice. I want to say it's the blend door actuators. Are these easy to get to back there? Can I just unplug them so they...

    NEED HELP speedo needle

I agree, take it from someone who didn't...your just going to be pulling the cluster out again at some point. It's not a difficult job, and if you have access to good soldering/desoldering tools it's very easy. :)
