What did you do to your GMT today? [Part II]

Going way back...October 30th, traded in the TB and came home with this: It's no SUV but almost 9 inches of ground clearance and dropping my monthly gas usage by 75% makes the compromise worth it. I'll miss the TB but it was like being on a sinking ship with all the problems manifesting.

What did you do to your GMT today?

I'm behind here. August 24th, found an oil spot under the front diff. Isolated to the drivers side seal. August 25th, tried to pull drivers axle on my own. No luck pulling axle. August 26th, dropped to the local repair man for a 3 night stay for 300 clams. October 10th, started hearing a...

How many miles have you got on your GMT

What did you do to your GMT today?

Tracked down the cause of my passenger side footwell rain puddle. Fun little exercise with a garden hose, air compressor and some black rtv. Leak was finding it's way on the wrong side of the upper/outer door gasket at the spot where it slots into the windshield frame and the body. There was...

Ignition switch .. again, this time with failure while driving !!

I know this is an OLLDDDD thread, but seems that I had this happen this morning (not the first time, but that time I initially blamed a dying battery [it was] and corrosion on the terminals. also cleaned all of the the grounds under the hood). Was in the last 10 minutes of my drive into...

NEED HELP TPMS Stem Replacement - Possible?

Thanks. The sensors are original AFAIK (I've never replaced them in 10 years of ownership) so that makes them 12+ years old for my 2007. Well past the expected life. I definitely need a new stem on the one and I guess I should have had to forethought to replace them when I got the new tires...

NEED HELP TPMS Stem Replacement - Possible?

Hi all. I recently had some new shoes put on the truck and after many (3) hours of waiting I was told that one of my valve stems is corroded and it was "difficult" to put air back in hence the 3 hours it took to mount 4 new tires. What my mechanic should have said was: "your valve stem is...

What did you do to your GMT today?

Did my tranny fluid and filter for the 150k mark. Threw in an engine oil flush and replacement and diagnosed a dead front washer pump. Will throw in a new one when I do the TB cleaning and new air filter on a cooler day.

Random Reduced Power, Low Oil Pressure & P0335

You're ruining my day. lol. So GM decided to use a gauge with a number read out because they felt the sheeple would respond better to an actual number readout instead of a just a light when things go bad. Got it. Guess I'll be hunting for some wiring issues tomorrow.

Random Reduced Power, Low Oil Pressure & P0335

Woowee. What a little event I had with my '07 4.2 on the way home from the beach yesterday. Driving on the highway about 60 mph suddenly I felt the engine lose power, followed the Check Gauges light and CEL coming on (could have been more but again, was driving 60 on a highway and was in a...

What did you do to your GMT today?

Ripped out padding under passenger side carpet after yesterday's heavy rain and the infamous mysterious passenger side leak soaked it through. Also found and hopefully fixed what I think caused it, which was the sunroof drain tube was angled upwards at it's end and it allowed water to run back...

    Misfire Diagnosis

And I cleared this up by pulling and cleaning the CPAS again, doing another clean of the TB and doing a battery disconnect. Maybe this is just going to be a regular maintenance item I need to do when the weather changes each fall and spring.

    Misfire Diagnosis

Le sigh... Now that it's above 60 degrees we are back to constant CEL with misfires on cold starts.. Power was definitely suffering yesterday while trying to enter the highway as well. guess I am pulling the solenoid again to check the screens.
