    WANTED J-44586 Seal Extractor

I used a tiny 1/4" open wrench to pull out the seal. Worked like a charm.

2008 9-7x no crank, starter and battery good. Security?

This problem was solved by purchase and reprogram of a new key. The old key fob no longer works (but the windows and unlock buttons do). What a bizarre problem. I'll open up the old fob when I get a chance.

2008 9-7x no crank, starter and battery good. Security?

Yes its a Saab. I'll try and find out some of these things. Sounds like he wants to make a new key in order to continue diagnosing. Unfortunately he is out of town so I can't give him my spare. Is it possible the chip in the key fob has gone bad or broke?

2008 9-7x no crank, starter and battery good. Security?

I've loaned my 4.2L out and they ran into some starting issues. Apparently the car doesn't crank but with some messing around, may start and run intermittently. The mechanic has it now and said they can bypass the ignition to start the truck , that the battery and starter are both good, but...

Preparing for a long haul tow

Did the bumper removal and tow bar connection on your ranger tow require any drilling?

Preparing for a long haul tow

That's awesome. Now for the dumb question! I assume I would need to buy some kind of trailer lights to go on the Ranger?

Preparing for a long haul tow

That's exactly what I'm looking for! Thank you for this. Good thought! I'm wondering what I would need to do to the Ranger to make the attachment. Would I need to drill into the frame to attach the mounting brackets? I like the idea of the lower center of gravity on the return trip (and...

Preparing for a long haul tow

I have a couple of specific questions on this topic. I have an 08 9-7x I6 with air springs and plan to tow a 3000 lb 98 ford ranger RWD, manual transmission 600 miles this spring. I have zero experience towing. Question 1: I was thinking a tow dolly would work fine vs a car carrier. This...

    TPMS Sensor Relearn Procedure

Thank you. I just got off the horn with the tech and they had a few suggestions. 1. Deflate tires all the way, and re inflate, then try. 2. Use the DIC buttons to enter relearn mode. (Already tried and can't do that) 3. Go to a shop that can use a more powerful scan tool to enter relearn...

    TPMS Sensor Relearn Procedure

Well, still can't get these things to relearn. Is it worth purchasing a different relearn tool? If I started over on this, I would have just ponied up the $65 per tire and have Discount tire take care of this from the start. Or buy an '07 or earlier to avoid the sensors altogether!
