    C0327 while in A4WD?

So as an update, I had the same thing happen - but this time, it was more 'serious.' The code tripped (and the dash light) and I lost ALL the lights above the switch. I turned off the engine and shifted it to 2WD, and the four lights (plus N) would show up on the switch when I fired it up, but...

What is the rear wheel speed sensor?

I imagine mine would have the separate wheel sensor as the speedometer works, right?

What is the rear wheel speed sensor?

On my 04 Envoy, I've been getting a C0055 code on my Bosch scan tool. It says the MIL is requested - but it has NEVER tripped a light. I don't believe I have any other symptoms (though I may be mistaken - it's had this code since I bought the vehicle). I decided to probe further - using my scan...

    C0327 while in A4WD?

On my 04 Envoy 4.2L, I've noticed twice a 'minor' error. The first time, I was driving on the highway and it was pouring rain. I put the Envoy into A4WD just in case and it worked flawlessly - but it tripped a C0327 code. It would NOT shift to 4WD or 2WD (by turning the switch). Once I shut...

    A/C Concerns

So I know it's not the optimal solution, but I did some checks. I was low on oil in the system (using a oil tester) so I added some RedTek oil and also their dry12 (to remove moisture). In doing so, my A/C compressor is MUCH quieter (almost silent). I suspect I will need to do more work in the...

    A/C Concerns

I didn't check the gap - I actually didn't see any shims (would they be on the pulley itself or the clutch?). Also, the chirping goes like this: "chirpchirpchirpchirpchirp..." while the clutch is engaged, and it it's pretty loud. If it's normal, I'll live with it (of course, haha). I checked...

    A/C Concerns

04 Envoy 4.2L I've noticed that my AC compressor on my Envoy squeals when engaged - It will almost chirp while engaged (sounds like a bad bearing to me). I also have noticed that the AC line going over the engine frosts up VERY easily and the AC compressor DOES NOT cycle off very often. I've...

Which headlight bulb is the DRL in Canada?!

I mean on sites like Canadian Tire. It lists the 9005 bulb for the Envoy as a highbeam, DRL; and the 9006 as just lowbeam. What I was trying to say is exactly that - I believe the listing is wrong (or that the 9005 is/was used for a DRL on other vehicles and the description was carried over)...

Which headlight bulb is the DRL in Canada?!

Ah, thank you. So the listings that say High Beam, DRL are actually just more for generic information and not model specific?

Which headlight bulb is the DRL in Canada?!

I've seen that it is supposed to be the high beam (physically lower bulb) on the Envoy. However, on mine, it is the low beam (physically higher bulb). Are bulb descriptions wrong, or is the DRL supposed to be the high beam?

    Rear G80 fill plug replacement?

That is actually great to hear! From what I gather, it's a 1/2" NPT? Does it matter what type of material it is?

    Rear G80 fill plug replacement?

So, I decided to check my rear diff fluid on my 04 Envoy - and the plug was stripped and very tight. I was able to get it out and check the fluid, and I was able to put it back in (for now), but I was wondering if anyone know of any part number for the plug, or if a universal one would work with...

    PCMofNC Swap - couple questions

So I got the PCM today - and was expecting to need to do the security relearn (set aside an hour) and the thing started up on the first attempt! There is definitely an improvement (however, I will admit, I don't see as large of an improvement as some have said). I did notice one issue though...

    PCMofNC Swap - couple questions

Ah okay. I thought that was the procedure for VATS. If I need to run my original PCM, I don't have to do it again? Only on new to the vehicle PCMs?

    Even with VATS disabled?
