I have a stock 2004 GMC Envoy 4x4 with 17" wheels. I'd like to change things a bit.
I purchased a set of 20" x 8.5" wheels that have a 35mm offset. Consensus seems to be that 275/45 is the best tire option when going with the street/SS look.
I've read through threads and checked online calculators, but would like some extra assurance. I don't know if the clearances and wheel well measurements are the same between the Envoys, regular Trailblazers, and SS's. Will the combination fit my Envoy?
Like many, I'm concerned with rubbing, but I'm also concerned with how far the rim/tire will extend out. One calculator said that the package will stick out 1.2" further than stock. I just want to make sure that I don't go past the fenders.
I also used the calculator to compare my new wheel with the SS wheel using the same 275/45 tire. I used 40mm offset for the SS wheel (think that's right), and it said that mine would stick out .2" more than the SS wheel.
I'm planning on a set of Cooper Discoverer HT Plus all season tires.
Thanks for the help!
