Will these fit?

I'm considering new tires. 275/55-18. They are 29.9" tall, section width of 11.2" with a tread width of 9.3". They are the Michelin Latitude Tour.

Considering these trucks came in the SS package with 255/50-20 tires at 30" tall, 10.2" section width and tread width of 9". I'm thinking they'll fit.

Anybody try this size?

I'm aware of possible speedo issues.

There isn't much about the 18s. I would be a bit worried about the width due to the steering knuckle. Maybe they will let you try them for fit.

Never. Once tires are mounted you own them.

There have been guys that were able to do test fits before the purchase. They may work on an 18 but the 17s it brings a 265 really close to the knuckle.

Wheels are in! $90 each shipped, NEW, off ebay.

I also got the appropriate center caps and made up some halfway decent logo stickers. I'll be buying real stickers at some point.

I woke up to the tires delivered, scattered on the ground at my garage door-along with a few more packages that was due. Way to go FedSux! lol...

Got them mounted. Put them on the truck.

This size is nicely wider than the originals. Slightly shorter. Good thing too, they are wide enough for the fronts to be UNDER the upper ball joints. There's at most a 1/4 inch space. They don't hit but it's not quite within my comfort zone. I'm gonna get some spacer rings and bring them out a little bit. Plenty thread on the wheel studs.

BTW folks, I found the very best prices for these tires at http://www.performanceplustire.com/ . Other than a small handling fee, shipping was free. They were very quick to ship.

Thanks!

I'll know soon-soon as in about a week. Gotta change the transmission AND the fuel pump just went AND the OPSU I installed in August is shot. :sadcry:
