Hey everybody  former TV user "Kristi's Dad", I'm thinking of using our 02' ext. to take my tractor and a couple implements weighing approx.2400 lbs. total for a 300mi.roundtrip (150 there next day 150 back-all xway) either a 6 x 12 single axle aluminum (nice little trailer but might be to small) or a CornPro flatbed 7 or 8' x 14 or 16'. Think it sounds good? tractor wt. 1600 lb 4'w x 8.5'L
Boxblade wt. 350-400 lb. 5'w x 2'L
try to get the big rake on wt. 375 lb. 3' x 8'

If either of the second larger trailers are dual axle I would go with one of those. They are more stable and less likely to sway around behind you. My boat I pull weighed with gear is 3200 lbs single axle, I kick myself every time I tow it for not getting a dual axle.

Tow in 3rd also.

Sounds good. Don't forget the weight of the trailer.

You should be good with either trailer. Dual axle versus single axle, the former being the better is a myth. I've towed my single axle travel trailer for over 10k miles all over the western half of the US and have never had sway issues. Sway is caused by improper setup, most often by not having enough tongue weight.

Hey Thanks! Yes I decided on the 18' tandem beavertail, should be straight forward barring any unforseen happenings  I saw a guy the other day on opposite side with a broken upper ball joint with a 10'-12' enclosed uhaul behind, his help had arrived and they were figuring how to move said truck..or trailer to get going.

This is good advice. Also....as mentioned, tow in 3rd.

Something you also might want to consider is to add a Tranny Cooler to help keep you tranny alive. I prefer Tru-Cool and the largest you can fit in the front. Mine is a 4589 I think.

When it comes to Transmissions HEAT KILLS.:twocents::twocents: OK 4 cents worth
