Road Trip thread?

I will be somewhat regularly making road trips from Kansas to Texas (to see my daughter in Austin). I'd like to let the GMT nation know that one of their own will be out on the road for many hours. At times things happen (jinxing myself here?) and it would be nice to be able to rely on someone in person if the situation arises. I have towing coverage and rental coverage so I'm not saying I'd be asking for roadside assistance.

So would there be room for a thread like this in the community somewhere? If not, i'll simply post in the regional sub-forums.

BTW - I'm leaving tomorrow night and will be posting via Tapatalk along the way. :raspberry:

I like! Perhaps someone is cruising through a town and can get lunch or provide a couch to crash on for the night.

Not a bad idea, but might get better responses there the regions, just due to ease of knowing your area of living or travel. Could get jumbled with cross country trips overlapping and such.
