I read that someone had to replace a broken motor mount bracket, so they just removed the bracket with the motor mount in place on the bracket. They didn't have to lift the engine quite as much & didn't report any problems getting the brackets out. They were working on the driver side, so when they went to replace the passenger side motor mount, they again took the bracket & mount out together. They were able to inspect the bracket for cracks, install the new mount in the bracket & then reinstall the bracket in the truck. The procedure for replacing the motor mounts that most were following let to several complaining that the engine wasn't lifted enough to get the mount out. Yes, they had loosened the fan shroud, left opposite side mount loosened, but still attached (so as to tilt the engine a bit) & still couldn't get the mount to clear.
Any thoughts?

Cheers,
