Removing adjustable gas pedal?

I have the connector and all the nuts removed, and there's a small rotating connector on top of the pedal adjuster that's also turned and moved out of the way. Is there a trick to this or just more muscle. Not sure if the white screw looking part at the bottom needs to be turned as well.

Got it! Two small clips recessed underneath where that small cover was. Pressed them in, it dropped right off.
