And WOW, what a pain in the hind-quarters.
Took about 45 minutes just to wiggle, shove, pull and curse the booster out, and almost as much time to get the new one in place without damaging anything.
The disconnecting/reconnecting part is cake...but extracting that thing without killing the master cylinder/reservoir, or breaking that nipple off of the intake manifold....I might actually 'pay the man' if this project ever comes up again.
BUT, my brake pedal doesn't sing to me anymore, so I guess it's worth it.
Rant off,
-Mike

If it's any consolation to you,

I'd say the T-Blazer is a walk-in-the-park compared to the previous generation Blazer... :weird:

The pictures below illustrate what needs to be removed from a 2000 Blazer to access the Power Booster Mounting Nuts on the inside of the firewall... :jawdrop2:

Fortunately for me, I was carcassing-out this blazer (sold the power booster) and did not need to re-assemble all of those parts.

^ that IS scary. You did some work on that one!
I had a 1997 Blazer for about 14 years....I had to replace the booster on that one too. I didn't have to take off nearly that much on the inside. I remember one of the mounting bolts being a pain to get the socket on , and of course, doing the Satan Shuffle to get the booster out.
Didn't help on this latest job that I started at 8:00p ...I know better than to start stuff like this when I'm only gonna get more and more tired as the frustration mounts...

I'm not sure what year they designed that aluminum chunk they mount the brake pedal to,,, but it completely covered one of the booster nuts. I'm glad the T-Blazer did not adopt that design.

I'll probably drill or cut the next "chunk" that gets in my way.

... yes, fatigue and poor-engineering is a recipe for frustration.
