Hi Support!

How do w post photos, graphics,( videos), relating to repairs? Currently I have received great input from the Technical discussion forum and posting some photos (pics) will certainly help. I understand there is a limit as to how much one can post, particularly if Video is allowed nevertheless what size and limit of photos can we post?

Many of us like to use a 3rd party hosting site (I use Photobucket) where the size of the pic won't be an issue, they give you a link to paste into your forum post, and it auto resizes.

Posting this link from photobucket...
Code:
http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc260/blckshdw/Trailblazer/20150814_161636.jpg

Results in this...

Otherwise, when making a post, click the "More Reply Options" button at the bottom. You'll then see some buttons to upload and attach files/photos directly from your device. Follow the prompts and you should be good.

For videos, like Youtube or Vimeo, just post the URL of the video and it should auto embed. I've noticed the abbreviated Youtube links (youtu.be) don't embed properly, but the full URLs do.

So posting this...

Code:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kn2eWDy0zAI
Results in this...

Photobucket videos, or attached video files don't allow direct play through the post, but open a new page. Hope that helps some.

Personally, I don't like photo hosting sites because they eventually lose it and we wind up with a broken link.

I reduce the size of my pics to between 200-300KB and not issues uploading them. Windows XP had a great image resizer powertoy but was dropped by MS. It was adapted to work with newer versions here: https://imageresizer.codeplex.com/

MS Paint since Vista has a decent resize capability now.

Yeah maybe but image resizer can do multiple pics in one pass. Highlight all you want to resize, right click, resize. Easy!
