Howdy y’all, new member here.
Recently got myself a 2006 Envoy Denali 4x4 with the 5.3l v8 and the 4l60e transmission.
While out this weekend after doing about 85mph on the highway the shift from 1-2 was really rough and sent my back tires sliding (it was raining) super scary when it’s wet, made my car go sideways for a split second.
The 2-3 shift is medium doesn’t really kick that too much. The downshifts also have a bit of power to them as well.
The rough shift(s) will keep on happening until I turn the car completely off and back on. Once that has happened the car will shift just fine.
What could be the issue here? I do have codes just for 02 sensors and maf. However, I put EVERYTHING back to stock to remove the codes, cleared my ecu and it still happens. Gotta turn the key off and on again to not have the kicking tranny.
I am thinking bad torque converter unfortunately.
Thank you for your thoughts and comments.
