Fuel Pump Question

I just replaced my fuel pump,when i looked up the part i needed on advanced auto i did not realize my truck is a flex fuel vehicle.No where is this truck marked that way.I used part #Mu738 which is for a non flex fuel vehicle and just changed the wire harness.My question is should i replace the pump with the right one or will it be fine with the one i have in it now. 2003 Chevy Suburban 5,3 Z71 4wd .Thank you The right part would be mu379

Do you run ethanol in it? E85

I do not i didn't even know i could until today when i looked at the vin code

Well just don't ever put E85 in it and you'll be fine. If you want the capability change it out to the E85 pump. Its up to you really. I've never even seen E85 anywhere. Its not gonna hurt anything to leave it. The E85 pump has stainless steel internal and special compound seals that's the only difference. And price lol
