I noticed there aren't many Terrain owners or content on these boards, so I thought I'd share mine

So we'll call this my "Build Thread".
Nothing much to show, for now - but thought I would use this thread as an on-going progress report on my vehicle.

2012 GMC Terrain SLE2

Only mods done were WeatherTech liners, OEM Roof Rack cross rails and Putco Ion Spark White low beams. But that's just for now....

Pics for clicks

That is a nice looking truck! the paint shines so much that it looks like you have the optional garden installed.

nice truck bro, 10/10

Thanks FastBlaster!
Probably the only benefit of getting a vehicle in black - looks awesome when it's clean!

Joined this forum to help keep my 2004 Envoy SLE XUV going strong. Has 136,000 miles on it and still uses no oil between oil changes. Wife wanted a new ride so got her a new Terrain. Good truck but not as good as my trusty XUV. Has its quirks but wouldn't trade it for the world.

Very nice!

But yes - it's decent enough to suit my family needs, yet still hauls my fishing, camping, snowboard gear.

I wanted a bigger vehicle, but $$$$ isn't on my side LOL

Since you do have your Terrain, have you found the Terrain forum? I also am a member at TerrainForum.net. This is an additional resource that you may find helpful.

Good Luck and Happy Motoring!

Yup - I go by Default User there also

Not a very active forum - even in the Off Topic area.

Looks clean. We may be looking into purchasing a newer SUV in a few years and this and the Acadia, Enclave or the new KIA one (not my choice) I like the Enclave the most, but the price of the Terrain sounds better.

LOL - yeah the Terrains price tag was what caught my eye first

It's so well equipped in base form that it was just too good a deal to pass up.

I dont like the 3.0 and 3.6 motor family. I have done so many timing chains on them. The latest was a 2010 Terrain with 56k miles. Not a bad job on the Terrain only 8hr warranty time and I didnt have to pull the engine. The Acadia on the other hand not so lucky its all got to come out:eek:
These pics are of 3 different Acadias. One of them is just the chains. One is the chains and a head. And one is the EVERTHING. But not the engines fault 17K on the factory oil will do that for you!
