Anyone actually running an Ultragauge? I leave the Scangauge in the truck and would like a way to monitor trans temp in the Trans Am and considering the MX model.

Od did I miss where Torque could do Trans Temp?

Yup, you did.

Have to go into Torque's Settings -> Manage extra PIDs/Sensors -> (hit the menu button on your device) Select Add Predefined set from the pop up menu -> Pontiac/GM/Opel/Vauxhall.

After you add that, there will be 2 new options available, that give you the same data :2thumbsup:
  • Transmission Fluid Temp (GM Method 1)
  • Transmission Fluid Temp (GM Method 2)

But it doesn't work on all years. Works for my 02 but not my 06.

And on my 02, it would show engine coolant temp to the tenth degree even. Go figure.

This is for his Trans Am though, I'm assuming, so it could be hit or miss either way

Yep. 2001 TA. I will give it a shot. Could save me a few bucks if I can just use the old droid and a cheap mount.

Thanks!
