Hey guys as a lot of you know I've been around for a bit now, but never actually made a thread for my build. Was pretty much waiting until I felt I had a lot of mods completed on her. I feel comfortable now to finally make the thread. I purchased my 2004 Trailblazer LS almost 2yrs ago now? Not really sure. I was looking for a replacement for my 1997 GMC Yukon, I loved it, but it was costing too much to maintain and at that time we had just had our twins, so I decided to get a newer SUV. I found this rig at the local dealership and was in love! Ever since then I've been modding her, only waiting about a month before the bug bit me, she's come a long way and has visually changed quite a bit since I've had her. I will frequently be uploading more pics and mods; Now i'm happy to present to you my build the "BatBlazer" :

Timeline:

One of the first things I noticed about my TB was how hazed the headlights were and my driver's side housing had a little friend in there, a mummified frog :blinkhuh: Was probably making it worse with the HID lights too

View attachment IMG_20130620_102202 (2).png

It was embarrassing for me to have hazed headlights, especially with a frog in there....so that's pretty much when my mod bug took off. I decided to make my TB unique and for starters I decided to buy some GTS Headlight & Taillight covers to hide them until I got some new headlight housings. I don't have an inital picture from when I first put them on, but this is the earliest I have from Aug 2013

Yes that's a pair of panties.........
IMG_20130808_201356.jpg

A month later I decided to start cleaning her up a bit more and changing the trim and interior with Plastidip over the next two months, I was highly into Plastidip back then, not as much now, but i'll get into that later on down the timeline.

Timeline continued:

September through December 2013 was when I really got into Plastidip, I've seen a lot of great looking rides using Plastidip. I eventually did all the trim and then turned my focus onto the interior panels and pillars. Interior-wise I ended up removing the dip because it started to tear on the doors where a lot of contact was made and I eventually just did them over in Krylon flat black paint, which has held up fine. I also removed the roof rack during this time period as well.

Timeline Continued:
December 2013 is when I started to add LED strips on the exterior and interior, the Blue LED dome lights you guys always see was installed when I first got my TB, just transferred it over from my Yukon. I originally had Amber LED strips in the grill before I put the white ones in, but I do not have any pictures that unfortunately.

Timeline Continued:

February through March time-frame of this year is when I decided to go a different route with my TB from the Murdered out look it was going for. I had gotten my tax return and purchased 255/55/R18 General Grabber UHP's along with my 18" Verde Protocol wheels. I also purchased a Belltech Lowering Kit #795SP, but never put it on until last month with BlazingTrails at his place. I also started to re-do some of the trim from Plasti-dip to gloss black Krylon paint, looked much better and didn't get faded from the sun.

Timeline Continued:
July of this year is when the most of the mods at one time occurred. The way my TB ended up looking in July was pretty much the look it's had until late August going into September. So this was the longest period of time in which it visually didn't change on the exterior. I had purchased an Airaid Intake and Baer Drilled & Slotted rotors, added lots of decals, got some gauges, stripped the Plastidip off the center crossbar on the grill, painted the interior flat black, and did lots more interior & exterior LED mods. Also replaced a bad coil pack and swapped out fuel filter at this time too.

Timeline Continued:

Now that I think about it August and September is when the most mods occurred and is when I really tied in my Blue & Green them from my interior to the exterior of my TB. During this time I painted my calipers and Chevy bowtie Anodized Blue, the nuts for the wiper arms were painted Anodized Blue, put 3M Matte Blue Metallic Vinyl on my hood, added more decals, did interior control LED mods, deleted the rear wiper arm, partially debadged her, painted the wiper cowl & wiper arms gloss black, added the signature "BatHitch", and finally after a long time coming took my Belltech lowering kit and with BlazingTrailz's (Brandon) help, finally lowered my Trailblazer, which really took the build where I wanted it to head; a sporty, intimidating look that'll turn heads.

So far this month of October I've only done two mods, cutting the rear Belltech 3" lowering springs 2" to make the rear wheel gap more flush with the front. Now the rear sits at a 5" drop and it looks a lot more appealing than before hand. I've also added LED strobe lights behind the grill.
