I've used the silicone based brake lube and after two years, one of my rear caliper sliders was seized. I just started using a marine grade antiseize that apparently a lot of mechs are using for brakes. It's thick and so far, looks good. I've been using it on my snowmobile parts that are exposed to the elements and it's been good. Protects in temperatures from -20°F to 2400°F (-29°C to 1315C). Only drawback is that it's expensive. $45 for a jar with a brush. http://www.henkelna.com/product-search-1554.htm?nodeid=8797882515457

It's really purple and thick too. Then I use the CRC black grease on everyone else's brakes.

I use synthetic brake caliper grease. It's the one grease that I buy that's different from my usual mobil 1 synthetic grease that's used on everything else. The one on the left you have, the hi temp stuff, would probably be ok. I think the theory is that the hi temp stuff avoids "melting" and leaving the area where it's needed, and not traveling to areas like pads and rotors where you don't want grease.
