Hi guys,
Recently, my ac condensor was replaced and the system refilled.
Now, on a hot day, when I start the car for the first time and switch the ac on, the ac compressor kicks in and makes a little weird noise. First I thought the timing belt needed replacing, but a buddy of mine said the compressor of the ac was making the noise.
Weird thing is, after I have driven some miles and the ngine has reached the normal operating temperature, the noise is no longer there.
Is the clutch of my ac compressor going bad, or the compressor itself? Or can I drive with this for while and I shouldn't I worry? In about a weeks time, I am going on a 2000 mile round roadtrip to Italy, and I will need the AC to keep my family cool.
Thanks in advance!
Eelco
