17" wheels fit a V8 Envoy Denali w/18s?

Hi all,
I am about to pick up an '06 Envoy Denali with 5.3L, I have scanned many posts in this forum and have read the V8 GMTs got larger brakes. The OE wheels on this truck are 18". I would like to get some OE 17" wheels to use for winter duty but I haven't found for certain if they will fit, the larger V8 brakes. Can anyone confirm this?

If I missed a completed discussion on this kindly point me to the thread.

My snows are 17" and so is my spare. Should be good to go.

Yep, 17" and up is fine. Only size you can't use are 16" due to the brakes.

Yep, My snows are 17" and summers are 18". You're good to go . Speedo is also bang on because tire diameters are the same.
